With over 20 years of experience in dance choreography, cheerleading and fitness as well as a Bachelor of Science Degree in Business Administration from Florida A&M University, my extensive, well-rounded background has led to the conceptualization of becoming a fitness manager and group training instructor with Clarity Fitness.

Mimi's Fitness Journey

I've always been into fitness through different sports (track and field, softball, cheerleading, dance, etc.) but I truly started to enjoy going to the gym and challenging myself with different fitness goals after I had my son. It started off as a goal to lose weight and get back down to my pre-baby weight, but fortunately my mindset changed as I learned more about the true benefits of movement. Ultimately, fitness became a therapeutic, stress reliever and I was able to move toward just being mindful of my wellness through fitness.

What Body Positive Means to Mimi

Body positivity for me is embracing my body through all the physical changes it has gone and will go through. Intuitive eating has been the most helpful factor for me. Letting my body tell me what it wants and needs while trusting it to keep things in balance has been a life changer.

Favorite Song

I don't know if I have a favorite song. I love music all the way around but an inspirational song I enjoy is "Rise Up" by Andra Day.
